The Welsh Government’s flagship business support programme, Business Wales works with thousands of businesses across Wales to provide help for businesses to get started and grow.
Antur Teifi is a social enterprise - a company that has a clear commitment to help businesses perform better, and contribute to a growing economy. The company has 84 staff delivering services for companies and government departments across a range of business functions from Market Intelligence to Business Planning and Finance. In the year to March 2015, Antur Teifi generated an income of £3.5m from its operations.
The business community is dominated by small companies making up 92% of registered businesses in the Teifi Valley. Whilst we deliver work throughout Wales, we believe we have a valuable contribution to make in supporting those small and growing businesses in the Teifi Valley not least by working in partnership with the Teifi Valley Growth Zone created as a result of the findings of the Task and Finish Group set up by Edwina Hart, the Welsh Government Minister for Economy, Science and Transport.
Antur Teifi is the official delivery partner for Start-Up Loans across throughout north and mid-west Wales. Many start-ups and small businesses often find it difficult to get a loan through traditional methods such as banks - as lending to SME’s is still a challenge for high street banks since the financial crisis.
A strong brand is essential for businesses competing to secure their positioning in the marketplace. And it’s not just about having a flashy logo and a catchy strapline! A brand is a promise. A promise to the customer confirming credibility in a product.
The implementation of the new Planning (Wales) Act 2015 will mean effective dialogue with communities with pre-planning applications a must for all major developments.
